Haiti Earthquake - 10 years by adriana zehbrauskas

On January 12th, 2010, a catastrophic earthquake hit Haiti, taking the lives of 220.000 people. About 300,000 were injured, and large parts of the country were buried under tons of twisted metal and concrete. The road to recovery has been long and arduous, and still far from done.

I spent two weeks covering what seemed like the end of the world. Those days will haunt me forever.

My lovely postwoman brought me two gifts today: the hard copy edition of ”Hungry” with my photo of chef René Redzepi on the cover (Jeff Gordinier, Penguin Random House) and the latest edition of Switzerland’s Das Magazin with my portrait of Angie.💚💛
